10. Anchorman: The Legend Continues

anchorman the legend

To see our favourite news team, we’ll have to wait one year, but 2013 already promises to finish magnificently with Anchorman‭: The Legend Continue.

The Channel Five news crew is back together,‭ ‬led by Will Ferrell returning as Ron Burgundy and ‬Steve Carell’s ‬Brick Tamlin,‭ ‬is reporting back as well.‭ Paul Rudd as Brian Fantana will not disappoint you either.

9. World War Z

This summer is all about zombies with World War Z. Plagued by production problems from the start, 2013 proved that anything is possible.

Starring Brad Pitt, with Marc Forster directing‭ this is the movie to watch out for if you’re a zombie fan. Sequels are already planned, and from the trailer, we can expect no disappointments!

8. Man of Steel

2012 was the year of superheroes, but deep inside we knew someone was missing. Zach Snyder’s epic new Superman reboot is coming out summer 2013, and from the trailer we can expect something good. Let me add a name, Christopher Nolan, who is producing the film and no doubt has injected some of his dark Batman Trilogy into this film makes it a must see.

7. After Earth

I know M. Night Shyamalan may have disappointed us in the past, but Stephen Gaghan and Book Of Eli writer Gary Whitta have joined forces to write this futuristic sci-fi movie, and Will Smith has proven more than once to be able to play in post futuristic sci-fi movies.

6. Carrie

The posters have proven to that Chloë Grace Moretz can play the sheltered high school girl tormented by her mother and high school friends.

Julienne Moore is also on board to play the religious mother. Mark your calendars; March 15th promises to be good material!

5. Oblivion

Another sci-fi movie where Tom Cruises character who goes back to a war ravaged earth only to find the existence of a colony of humans thought to be extinct. And director Joseph Kosinksi will no doubt bring some good to Oblivion.

4. Elysium

Let me just say Elysium is District 9 follow up which combined documentary style sci-fi and action resulting into one of the best sci-fi films of the past decade. And let me also add that Matt Damon and Jodie Foster will be starring where Damon’s character will be fighting to bring equality to a world where on the 99% get to live on a space station while the rest of us cling to life on a ruined earth

3. Iron Man 3

Jon Favreau has done a fantastic job helming the Iron Man series. But I’m sure we can be safe with Shane Black on board for Iron Man 3,  especially after the slightly disappointing Iron Man‭ ‬2. But we have Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin who will hopefully bring a bit more action into the series.

2. Star Trek Into Darkness

Four years after the first film, J.J Abrams has reunited the crew of the Enterprise back together, adding also some new faces such as Sherlock‘s Benedict Cumberbatch,‭ ‬Alice Eve and Noel Clarke.

Plot has been kept super secret material, though some aspect have leaked and it seems J. J. Abrams fans and Trekkie/Trekker seem to look forward to it.

1. Pacific Rim

Pacific Rim is all about humans clambering into massive robots to battle creatures from the ocean. Think about Transformers, but better. Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam and, of course, Ron Perlman are among the movie’s ensemble cast.

Pacific Rim promises to be the biggest sci-fi action epic of the year.
