Saoirse Ronan, the talented Irish actress who earned an Oscar nomination at age 13 for her role in Atonement, has been going into that phase where she should widely choose her projects to transit from teen to big roles. Sure we will see her in in an adaptation of Stepheni Meyer’s The Host, that will sure gather all Twilight-ers. But her next project might be the “big roles” I’m talking about.
According to Deadline, Ronan is lined up to star in Testament Of Youth, an adaptation of Vera Brittain’s memoir about working as a nurse during World War I.
Her character is 21 years old when the war broke out in 1914, (four years older that Ronan) and falls in love with a soldier and volunteer as a nurse in solidarity. David Heyman, who produced the entire Harry Potter series is helming the project.
I’m pretty Ronan will fit in perfectly with the character.
