Alexandra Daddario In Talks For The Female Lead In The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D

There are no reasons to do another Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. Even less in 3D. But it seems there is a project going on and they are already looking for the female lead.

Variety has reported that Alexandra Daddario is now in final talks to star as the female lead in the John Luessenhop-directed horror movie.

The actress is probably best known for her role as Annabeth Chase in Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Theif, though she did star in White Collars TV series and in Hall Pass.

The 3D project won’t be a continuation of the rebooted franchise, which began with Marcus Nispel’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 2003 and continued with Jonathan Liebesman’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning in 2006. Instead, it will be a sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 classic.

Variety also says that producers “are hoping the film will launch a new fright franchise featuring the iconic, chainsaw-loving villain Leatherface and his oddball family.”
