The Brothers Grimm: Snow White Moves Release Date To March 16, 2012

Snow White

We just knew that Snow White and the Huntsman would be released on June 1, 2012 instead of the originally planned December 21, 2012. And because a competing Snow White project – Relativity Media’s Brothers Grimm: Snow White – was set to launch on June 29, 2012, we should have expected to hear from it soon.

A press release has revealed that the Ryan Kavanaugh-owned studio has pushed The Brothers Grimm: Snow White up by three months, the film now set to bow on March 16, 2012.

The movie is directed by Tarsem Singh and starring Julia Roberts, Lily Collins and Armie Hammer. Relativity has also announced that Safe Haven, the newest Nicholas Sparks adaptation, will be released on June 1 to compete directly with Snow White and The Huntsman.

So basically we have The Brothers Grimm: Snow White on March 16th 2012 and two month later Snow White and the Huntsman to be released on June 1th, 2012. It is not the first time we have two almost identical movies with release dates so near. Remember No Strings Attached and the almost coming Friends with Benefits?
