Sucker Punch star Jamie Chung has officially joined Knife Fight.
Variety reports that Chung has signed on to star alongside Rob Lowe, Julie Bowen, Connie Britton, Jennifer Morrison, Rebecca Mader and Titus Welliver.
The movie is described as a political drama directed by Bill Guttentag who is co-writing the script with Chris Lehane.
The movie is about a crisis manager (Lowe) who helps politicians dealing with scandal. Chung will play Lowe’s assistant who is quickly learning her bosses’ skill and becoming a spinmaster in her own right.
It is kind of similar to another movie Lowe starred in, Thank You For Smoking. Chung will be the the young-person trying to learn about the art of spin, and it is good, Thank You For Smoking was good. But the word “drama” takes the movie in another direction.
The film will begin production next month and is targeting an October 2012 release date.
