In 2009 Chris Pine became the new face of Captain Kirk. Though the J.J. Abrams-directed Star Trek was a global success, people behind the scenes are apparently slowing down production for a sequel.
The actor currently has two films – This Means War and Welcome To People – and while waiting for their release he just added another smaller project. LA Times says that Pine is now in talks to star in Mud for director Jeff Nichols.
The film is about two boys who meet a fugitive named Mud (who would be played by Pine) and help him escape.
