Hugh Jackman Will Not Be In Snow White And The Huntsman

Hugh Jackman

First it was Viggo Mortensen that left Snow White And The Huntsman at the end of last month. Reports then said that Hugh Jackman was interested in the role.

But now The Wrap reports that negotiations with Jackman have ended after starting last week.

That is not it, Kristen Stewart has been in mind for the part of Snow White for months, her deal is not yet confirmed. Which mean the two lead roles are still officially empty. The only confirmed actress is Charlize Theron, who has signed on to play the Evil Queen in the film that Rupert Sanders will direct.

We still have Snow White, which will star Lily Collins and Armie Hammer and be directed by Tarsem Singh. If Universal wants to follow the  planned August shoot and December 21, 2012 release date for Snow White and the Huntsman, but they’re going to find a lead actor quickly. Though we sure have enough reinvented fairy tales that we won’t miss this one, considering there is another one.

Mortensen reportedly walked away due to salary concerns, it is not said why Jackman refused the role.
