Pirates Of The Caribbean Character Posters

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

After the poster, this is probably what we have all been waiting for: the character posters. And considering the poster was awesome, the same goes for the character posters.

Yesterday the one sheet poster starred a close-up of Johnny Depp as the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow making all women, me included, go mad.

Well, this poster is for the boys. This time the focus squared directly on franchise newcomer Penelope Cruz, who plays Angelica in the film. Both one of Jack’s former lovers and the daughter of the villainous Blackbeard, she’s just one of the many problems the good captain has to deal with while on the search for the Fountain of Youth.

But ladies don’t worry as we also have a character poster for Captain Jack Sparrow. While the poster released had Jack Sparrow gazing pensively at the sky, this new one has him up close and starring right at you.

A new one-sheet for Captain Barbossa was also released. In the new film, the once evil pirate captain, played by Geoffrey Rush, is on the straight and narrow, actually serving as a privateer for King George II and sailing the HMS Providence. So it seems.

Finally Blackbeard. Played by Ian McShane, Blackbeard is the major baddie of the new movie (as well as zombies), captaining the Queen Anne’s Revenge when Angelica forces her former flame Jack Sparrow on board. As the plot description puts it, “Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past.”
