Clive Owen is back directed by David Schwimmer with Trust, a movie that somehow tells a parents worst nightmare.
A suburban family is torn apart when 14-year-old Annie (Liana Liberato) meets her first boyfriend online. After months of communicating via online chat and phone, the boy wants to meet and Annie discovers her friend is not who he originally claimed to be. Shocked into disbelief, her parents (Clive Owen and Catherine Keener) are shattered by their daughter’s actions and struggle to support her as she comes to terms with what has happened to her once innocent life.
The trailer starts gradually telling the story in 2:05 minutes. We see Annie first laptop, how she starts chatting and when she meets him, realizing he is not who he has always claimed to be. We get shots of what might have happened when she decided to follow him. We also see Owen looking at a bunch of guns in a gun shop, leaving us with the doubt whether he bought one or not.
The movie plot is simple and realistic. Even in 2011 these things still happen, unfortunately. Trust hits theater April 1st, 2011.
