A sequel to Clash of the Titans is already seeing some good cast, despite the sequel being quite unnecessary.
Wrath of the Titans Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and the rest thus far have been Edgar Ramirez, Tony Kebbell, and possibly James Franco.
Now Rosamund Pike is close to a deal that would see her play Andromeda in the Jonathan Liebesman-directed Wrath of the Titans.
The role was played by Alexa Davalos in the first film, but she will be unavailable for the sequel. In the first film Andromeda plays a large role, as Hades wants to sacrifice her to the Kraken, but Perseus is able to turn the sea monster into stone with the head of Medusa and save her. The report says the the role remains a major one in the sequel. So a big one for Pike.
This though also means that Pike won’t be starring in the non Lois Lane role for Zack Snyder Superman. Whether this is a good decision or not, only time will tell. Sure is that we haven’t seen Pike lately.
